The postures in a Yin yoga practice are held longer (in a relaxed and supported way) with the intention of targeting the deep connective tissues between the muscles, in the joints and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. Chris guides you through a sequence of postures that will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. This class is suitable for all levels. Yoga blocks, bolsters, pillows and blankets would be helpful as many of the poses are taught with variations that use props.
