300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training
Kushala Yoga’s 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training is a small-cohort program for certified teachers who want to deepen their understanding of yoga and further develop the way they teach. Our program combines advanced study with the continuity of a small cohort over an 10-month training period, allowing new knowledge to be explored through practice, teaching and feedback.
Our approach to yoga is practical, relational and grounded in both tradition and contemporary knowledge. You will study ideas thoroughly, test them through practice and discussion, teach them, receive feedback and refine your skills. Our intention is to provide a path to grow your abilities, connect to your intuitions, and gain more confidence as an experienced yoga teacher.
What This Training Is About
Our 300-hour Advanced training guides you into a deeper exploration of yoga in an environment that supports a concentrated development of your teaching.
The next cohort begins in July 2027 and continues for 10 months through evening and weekend sessions. This continuity gives faculty time to understand how you teach and offer individualized feedback. You also have room to absorb new material and notice how it influences your work in the classroom.
We will explore various dimensions of yoga, through practice, theory and discussion. Some topics may be new, some you may already have a working familiarity. But in either case, the program allows you space to reconsider familiar habits in your practice or teaching. You will be encouraged to experiment and occasionally teach beyond what feels known and comfortable. Feedback will help you recognize what is working, understand where you may be getting stuck and consider possibilities you might not have explored on your own.
You will complete at least two yoga class practicums and two workshop-style practicums. Applied exercises and peer-teaching opportunities will also be woven throughout the program.
Our intention is to help you become a teacher with greater depth, whose choices are informed by a broader understanding of yoga and tested through experience.
