Journey Towards Deep Relaxaton

With Alissa Martin

Join Alissa for a journey through your senses to a deep state of relaxation. We’ll combine many self-care practices to prepare you for a great night’s sleep.

Take time away from the screen with a meditative walk (suggestions offered beforehand). Journal about your heartfelt desires surrounding sleep and how you’d like to feel.

Together we’ll create a batch of overnight oats, so your breakfast is ready for you the next morning. An ingredient list will be sent to you to prepare ahead of time and we’ll discuss what supports better sleep.

We’ll end with Yoga Nidra and the Nervous System practice. Yoga Nidra, typically translated as “Yogic Sleep,” is an invitation to a sleep-like state where we can release tension, stress and what is no longer needed. When practiced regularly, Yoga Nidra can improve sleep patterns and concentration, regulate blood pressure and digestion, calm the nervous system and connect you to your own source of healing.

In this workshop you will:

  • promote a better sleep
  • learn a breakfast recipe
  • connection to your heartfelt desire

Alissa Martin

Alissa was drawn to teaching Yoga through a fitness background and because she found it to be the treatment that worked best for her body after a car accident. It was also the adaptability of the practice that inspired her. She felt that the postures were open to interpretation, making them even more holistic. Even with alignment principles involved, she sees the beauty in the uniqueness of the individual practice.
