Sound Healing and Acupuncture Workshop

Release stress and support the immune system

With Shelly Cassivi and Dr. Kayla Clarke, ND

In these challenging times it is vitally important to manage the stress in our bodies and build our immunity. This workshop will combine a progressive relaxing meditation with sound healing and acupuncture to provide a powerful tonic for your immune and nervous systems.

In Tradition Chinese Medicine, the immune system is viewed as a function of a healthy body with balanced energy flow. When energy becomes stagnant, dysregulation in the body and nervous system can manifest as decreased vibrance and vitality. This can show up in any aspect of our lives – from our physical to mental and emotional health.

This year has stirred up our world, and the effects may be felt in physical and energetic levels of our bodies. Pertinent to these times of uncertainty and change this workshop will focus on restoring a balance of yin and yang in the body, specifically nourishing the building blocks of the immune and nervous systems.

Dr. Kayla Clarke, ND

Dr. Kayla was born in Vancouver, BC and has spent her life amongst the forest, ocean, and mountains. After completing a degree in Behavioural Neuroscience from SFU, she enrolled in the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program which allowed her to answer her calling as a healer, but not within the realm of the dysfunctional western medical system.

She draws from values of connection and balance, and enjoys helping modern humans connect with their health, thrive in their worlds, and execute their purpose. In her practice, she often combines elements of neuroscience, modern medicine and technology with ancient knowledge, tradition, and culture.

Outside of work, you can find Dr. Kayla in the kitchen, hiking up mountains, or questioning our role in this universe. Always learning, doing, growing, experiencing, messing up, trying again – she is an avid student of life. A sense of community is important to her, and she loves getting to know neighbours and community members, so don’t be shy and say hello!
