Open Your Heart: A Journey into Backbends

Back-bends require flexibility and strength, but they also require vulnerability. We will begin with gentle supportive back bends to encourage a softening of the heart (both literally and figuratively). We will then practice postures that strengthen the hips, legs and shoulders which will support us on our back-bending journey. Options will be given for all levels of practice.

Nicole is a bona fide movement enthusiast! Throughout her life, she has explored a variety of dance styles, played a myriad of sports and experimented with a multitude of ways to move.

Nicole was a professional Belly Dance performer when she began practicing yoga. The pursuit of greater flexibility was what brought her to her mat, but the self-study that yoga inspired within her kept her coming back.
