Yoga for better posture and functional movement

Join Sarka for an informative, fun and energizing workshop aimed to make you move and feel better by resetting a neutral pelvis and spine to create balance in your body. Then go into bigger movement patterns to mobilize the joints and integrate the deep layers of the core. Learn safe, strong and optimal alignment in your body to find freedom on and off the mat. Areas of focus will be: chaturanga, backbends, balancing postures, handstand/forearmstand. This is open to ALL LEVELS as each progression and modification will be shown.

  • Establish better posture by resetting a neutral pelvis and spine
  • Build strength and stability by mobilizing the hips and shoulders while integrating the deep core
  • Poses and areas to be covered: chaturanga, backbends, balancing postures, handstand/forearmstand
  • Some anatomy, physiology and kinesiology will be explained
  • Learn how yoga poses can help rewire our brain mapping so we can move better, safer and more sustainably in our daily life

Sarka Kocicka

Sarka is grateful for the joy that yoga brings to her life and to the lives of so many. She is especially passionate to help evolve the practice of yoga to empower movement and balance amidst a modern lifestyle of technology and sedentariness.  

She completed her first alignment-based 200-hour YTT with Noah Maze, Ross Rayburn, and Christina Sell in 2013 and in 2020, an additional 200-hour in the LYT™ Yoga Method with Physical Therapist and yoga teacher Lara Heimann. Sarka is currently underway in the LYT™ 300-hour advanced training.
