Sound Healing and Acupuncture Progressive
Nourish your yin: embrace the slowness, the stillness, the quiet.
With Shelly Cassivi and Dr. Kayla Springer, ND
In this progressive series of four weekly sessions, we use the powerful combination of acupuncture and sound healing to unblock the bodies energy channels, nourishing yin energy to create a balance between the yin and yang.
Yin is the fluid component of the body representing rest, slowness, quiet, heaviness. In opposition, yang energy is moving, active, buoyant, rising, masculine, forceful, light. One cannot survive without the other, but each flow in balance through the seasons.
Winter is a the time of yin energy. It is a time to come inward, rest, and nourish your body and soul. In the body, yin manifests physically as fluids – blood, fluid, lymph, water.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture is used to unblock energy channels. Disease is seen as an imbalance or blockage in the flow of qi, or vital energy along energy pathways known as meridians. By stimulating certain points along these meridians with thin needles or pressure, the flow of energy through these pathways is restored.
In each class you will be guided into a comfortable, supported, restorative pose. Here, you will receive mindfully placed acupuncture, while you relax into sound vibrations.
