Ayurveda 101

Nurture Your Constitution

With Christine McLellan

Join Christine in an introductory 5-week course to learn the benefits and the tools of Ayurveda, the traditional life science system of India. Ayurveda is a methodology of healthy and holistic life practices that work in tandem with yoga. Through this course, you will develop a greater understanding of yourself from an Ayurvedic perspective, and learn simple daily tools to help care for your body, mind and spirit.

Each class will include a study of Ayurvedic theory, a daily take-home practice, an Ayurveda-themed asana practice, breathing exercises, and a guided meditation.

The course includes handouts each week, tea, and dosha-inspired snacks in Week 3.

Students should bring a pen, paper, water, and layered clothing.

This course is suitable for anyone that would like to expand their practice, and adopt (or deepen) a yogic lifestyle, and healthier ways of eating and living. We will be doing active and standing asanas during class.
