In this class, you are gently guided to listen to your body very closely as you move into yoga poses that stretch, tone and increase blood circulation. As the classes progress your body becomes stronger and more supple, allowing you to enjoy activities that weren’t so much fun before.
The class involves a thorough warm-up, through breathing techniques and movements that start from where you are at Now. As you learn the poses and your body grows in strength, you can build on the strength.
You never know, you might jump to the front row in a regular yoga class because your confidence and enjoyment of your practice grows!
This class is recommended for the following individuals:
- People who want a gentle introduction to the heart of the practice (the goal is not to make you into a rubber band)
- People with chronic pain conditions once their doctor has recommended gentle yoga.
- Out of condition or starting yoga after 40.
- Extremely stiff people who tend to overstretch in a regular class
